Dr. Nathan Fowler

Dr. Nate is no stranger to a hard day’s work – he grew up spending long summers mowing lawns & working at his dad’s landscaping business. However, being a huge nerd at heart, Dr. Nate knew he wanted to go into a career that challenged his mind, helped people, and was a littleeeee less sweaty. His dream of becoming an orthodontist was born!

Our beloved brainiac graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Buffalo, then went on to become Valedictorian of his dental school class at University of Pittsburgh, followed by an orthodontic residency at Tufts University. Since then, he has been an orthodontist in private practice. In that time he’s helped thousands of people get a smile they’re proud of (#humblebrag), BUT in the offices he worked at braces were expensive and there were lots of people who couldn’t afford them. That’s why Dr. Nate started SmileyCuse – to make braces both AFFORDABLE & FUN! He loves to crank the tunes on the sound system at the office, and it’s usually something with a good beat – but he’s always taking requests!

Dr. Nate runs SmileyCuse with his better half Dee, who let’s be honest, is always the one REALLY running the show!  Together, they tag-team on raising their coolest accomplishment, their daughter Elise and son Gavin.

When he’s not changing smiles & taking names, Dr. Nate loves getting his adrenaline up with some good ole-fashioned adventure sports like skiing and snowmobiling (he prefers mainly winter sports thanks to the PTSD of those long summer landscaping days). When he’s not hanging with his patients at SmileyCuse, you can usually find him in the mountains or on the beach.
